The Anderson High School BAND EXTRAVAGANZA is an annual fund raiser hosted by the Anderson High School Band Boosters to benefit the band program.
This year, the event features the musical talents of Ayer, Maddux and Summit Elementary Schools, Nagel 7th Grade Band, and Anderson High School.
Each band will perform in addition to special performances by AHS Jazz Bands, AHS Drumline, AHS Brass Choir and AHS Color Guard.
Before the event, you can enjoy a sub sandwich (This requires a pre-order. See separate order form in this mailing).
During the event, while you watch our students perform, you can purchase tickets for great raffle prizes, select a dessert from the AHS Band Bistro,
and purchase last-minute Road Rally tickets.
Profits from the BAND EXTRAVAGANZA benefit the band program by providing needed instruments, music and equipment.
WHAT IS THE “MOTOR TO THE MUSIC” ROAD RALLY?
It is a FUNd raiser! Deeds to one “plot” of the Anderson High School basketball court are sold for $2.00 each. Plots measure one foot by one foot.
When the combined school bands give their final performance, three numbered remote-controlled cars will speed across and zigzag randomly over the
basketball court. When the music stops, the cars stop. Each square foot of the basketball court has been assigned a number which corresponds to
the Road Rally ticket numbers. If you have the “deed” to the plot where a car stops, you are a winner!
