Amanda Sanger

Ms. Sanger joined the Pride of AHS staff in the fall of 2007 as the Color Guard Instructor. She has an extensive background in color guard technique as well as experience in marching and equipment. She began her marching career in 7th grade and went on to march for Southwind Drum & Bugle Corp (home based in Lexington, Kentucky) where she toured with them for 3 summers.

Ms. Sanger recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Delhi, Ohio in May 2010. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design - with a minor in iDesign (web design). She currently works full-time for dunnhumbyUSA (British firm located in downtown Cincinnati) in their Creative Design Department.

She lives in Eastgate and enjoys her dog, Izzy, and spending time with her family and friends. Her desire and goal is to challenge each member, and to bring a strong work ethic to the field while building leadership, skill and performance technique. She truly enjoys her role and establishing great relationships with her students, as well as seeing them build long lasting friendships with each other. She strives to instill respect, maturity, team building, dedication, and hard work within the group – things she hopes they carry with them even after they leave rehearsal.

Amanda is proud to see the color guard grow from 14 members to 23 members in the course of one year. She hopes this group continues to grow in numbers (and in strength) for many years to come!
